Install the free edition

The easiest way to start is to install the free edition from WordPress.org:

Download Better Robots.txt on WordPress.org

After activation

1. Open the Better Robots.txt page in WordPress
2. Choose a preset
3. Follow the setup flow
4. Preview the output in the final review step
5. Save changes

Trials and paid editions

If you already know you need deeper controls, use:

• Start Pro Trial
• Start Premium Trial

What to test after installation

• Is your generated robots.txt visible on your site?
• Did you choose the right preset?
• Are search engines still allowed if they should be?
• Are any paid-only controls visible but locked, and do you need them?
